"S-Team, Setz dech an!"
The Service National de la Jeunesse (SNJ), together with SCRIPT and CEPAS, launched a new project called "S-Team" two years ago. Our school is also participating in this project and therefore needs motivated students who are ready to take on a new challenge.
In the school year 2021/2022, 12 students from the national and international system have already successfully completed the training. On 18 October 2022, they received their diplomas at a ceremony in the Forum Geeseknäppchen.
The new project provides for the following:
- Empowering young people to work in a project group for activities around the themes of violence prevention and civic courage;
- Promoting civic courage by developing young people's empathic and social skills;
- Improving the school climate;
In the long term, the aim is to train future generations of students who are committed to the well-being of their classmates.
Interested young people receive a 16-hour basic training course (module 1), which covers the topics of violence and methodology for conducting peer-to-peer activities. A specialisation module (module 2) provides 16 hours of training in mediation.
The two training modules are run by a team of five coaches (Léa Foubert, Sarah Guden, Christian Hourscht, Manuel Da Costa and Danielle Weber) on Friday afternoons, from 12.30-14.30 hrs.
